VX Commodore leaking auto trans fluid from cooling lines on radiator?

i replaced the radiator on my vx commodore 3.8 litre ecotec, and when i went to bleed the cooling system, the solid auto trans cooling line that runs from either side of the radiator was leaking quite rapidly. i checked and rechecked that it was on tight and ensured it was not cross threaded on and it still leaks bad. should i be looking at new cooling lines because i'm out of ideas...?
