What is the Best scope for under $320?

I have been looking for a scope for my savage 111 30-06 that will be used for targets up to 500 yards. I have narrowed it down to about 6 different scopes. A leupold VX-I in 4-12x40 for $299 which is a low end leupold scope, but it is still a leupold. A nikon buckmaster 4.5x14x40 mil dot at $270. A bushnell banner 6-24x40 for $170. Or a Osprey long range tactical 10-40x50 for $150. Would the leupold or nikon have powerful enough magnification for 500 yards. Also would the bushnell or osprey be a good enough quality of scope for this distance. Any other suggestions of scopes that would fit my specifications would be greatly appreciated. I would like it to be a 40mm scope unless it comes with rings that can with stand the .30-06 recoil. I already have rings that will fit a 40 mm scope but none for bigger objectives.
