Why do people with money complain about being poor?

People tend to spend the money they have so it never seems enough. They also get used to buying certain things so they start to see these things as luxuries rather than necessities. I remember one of the newspapers did an article about women not bothering to get pensions or save for a rainy day. They interviewed four women who all claimed they couldn't afford to save for the future. They also listed each woman's yearly income & they were �10k, �50k, �100k and �250k!
