Importing Mini DV To Computer Help!?

Ok. I Have A Sony Vx1000, 4 pin to 4 pin Firewire And An HP Pavilion With A Built In 4 pin Firewire Port. Oh I Also Have Windows Vista. Ok The Problem Is I Turn On My VX And Put It On Playback mode. I Then Connect My Firewire cable into the DV On The Camcorder and connect the other end to my computers 1394. I Have Done Everything And No AutoPlay appears on my computer. So i checked my drivers and still nothing. I even tryed windows movie maker to see if it worked and no, NOTHING. Please help me. Do I need to install A Driver. If i do where do i download it.
