How to do a perfect french manicure on yourself?

Pretty self explanatory, how do i make it really neat and perfect, btw my nails are average length, not that long not that short though! Btw do you think a french manicure is subtle enough to wear on my nails at school because we're not allowed to wear nail varnish at my school but do you think they would notice a french manicure as they're pretty natural looking compared to bright coloured nails! Ooh any tips on drying nails quickly as well? And how do i keep my general nails strong and healthy?
