About sound problem in webcam?

I am using amcap webcam while talking with others i can see them but unable to hear their voice. they are hearing my voice and even the picture qquality is also not good. while opening the webcam software on the top of the menu in devices options microsoft lifecam vx-10000 and usb camera is in on position. I could not understand which one we are using and how to solve this sound problem.
